Venkatesh triumphs

BANGALORE: K.Y. Venkatesh led a profitable day in the final of the National badminton championship for the physically disabled at the Malleswaram Association courts here. Venkatesh won the dwarf category winning 21-16, 21-10 over fellow state-mate C.V. Rajanna on a day when Karnataka won four titles.

Standing lower below waist (STL – 2): S. Raghuram (AP) bt Amarendra Behera (Ori) 21-15, 21-14; Doubles: Amarendra Behera/S P Das (Ori) bt Sreekanth Reddy/S. Raghuram (AP) 21-10, 21-9.

Standing lower below waist (STL – 3): B. Anand Kumar (Kar) bt Narendra Kumar (Kar) 21-10, 21-15. Doubles: Anand Kumar/Surjeet Singh (Kar) bt Narendra Kumar/Vijay Rao Sindhe (Kar) 21-12, 21-16.
