Play abandoned

HYDERABAD: The first day’s play in the two-day, semifinals between Kerala and HCA President’s XI at RRC Grounds and Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal) in the Coromandel King all-India Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup invitation cricket championship was abandoned without a ball being bowled here on Saturday.

Heavy rains for the last 24 hours rendered the grounds unfit for play.
