I will continue my fight: Rane
SANGOLA (SOLAPUR): Continuing his tirade against the Vilasrao Deshmukh government over alleged failure to solve people’s problems, dissident leader Narayan Rane has indicated that he will carry on his “fight” without leaving the Congress. “Even if I remain without any post in government, I will continue my fight for the issues that concern the State’s welfare and economy through the medium of Congress party,” he told a farmers’ rally here on Friday night. He had earlier submitted his resignation as Revenue Minister to Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Mr. Rane, who had left Shiv Sena to join the Congress, reiterated his allegation that the State government had sold the CIDCO land in Navi Mumbai to Videocon group at a throwaway price which precipitated his decision to resign his post.
Mr. Rane said he would abide by the decision of Congress president Sonia Gandhi on the question of his resignation from the State Cabinet. — PTI
