Bharath Reddy remained unbeaten on 46 as North Zone made 266 against Central Zone in its first innings in the ACA under-22 inter-zone tournament at the DSA stadium, Kakinada on Wednesday. Central was 59 for two at close on the second day of the three-day match. The scores: North Zone 266 in 79.5 overs (K. Bharath Reddy 46 n.o., D. Siva Kumar 34, V. Abraham 37, B. Sumanth 32, S.K.M. Basha three for 30) vs. Central Zone 59 for two in 18.3 overs . Sravani excelsMediumpacer S.L. Sravani of East Godavari with a haul of seven wickets helped her team beat Vizianagaram by 17 runs in the ACA North Zone inter-district women’s under-19 tournament round-robin match here on Wednesday. Himabinud and Sagarika picked up four wickets each in Visakhapatnam’s nine-wicket win over Srikakulam. The scores: East Godavari 98 in 18.5 overs (Hemavathi four for 33) bt Vizianagaram 81 in 23 overs (S.L. Sravani seven for 30).
