TIRUCHI: Members of All-India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) took out a rally in the city as part of the organisation’s two-day district level conference that commenced here on Wednesday.

Carrying flags, the AIDWA members marched from Woraiyur Nachiyar Koil up to Zuleka Thidal where a public meeting was held.

The rally was flagged off by AIDWA central committee member S. Valentina. A book on women’s health and crime against women was released by state president N. Amirtham and the first copy was received by Dr. Jayam Kannan, president of the Tamil Nadu Women Doctors’ Association. District level office-bearers will be selected on Thursday.
