Sand lorry overturns

BAD LUCK: A sand-laden lorry that overturned on the Tiruchi-Pudukottai national highway near Kottapattu in Tiruchi on Wednesday. —

TIRUCHI: A sand-laden lorry capsized on the Tiruchi– Pudukottai national highway near Kottapattu in the city after hitting the median in the early hours on Wednesday.

The accident disrupted traffic movement for about three hours, police said.

A crane was pressed into service to lift the vehicle which had suffered damage.
