Workers’ Union seeks free pattas

TIRUCHI: Tiruchi General Workers’ Union has urged the government to provide free pattas to all members of the Unorganised Sector Workers’ Welfare Board.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the inauguration of the Crawford branch of the union. The union also demanded that government bear the full cost of education for the wards of workers and provide them assistance for marriage, deaths, maternity and self-employment.
