Walk-in interviews for apprenticeship

BANGALORE: The walk-in interviews for selection of candidates for one-year apprenticeship training will be held at the Government S.J. Polytechnic, K.R. Circle, here on August 7, 8 and 10. Candidates who have passed BE and have diplomas may attend.

While interviews for BE graduates will be held between 10 a.m. and 1.30 p.m., those for diploma holders will be held from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The BE graduates and diploma holders in civil, architecture, computer sciences, chemical engineering, information science and environment engineering can attend the interviews on August 7.

On August 8, interviews will be held for BE/diploma holders in mechanical, industrial production, automobile engineering, mining and mine surveying, metallurgy and industrial mining and other branches related to mechanical engineering, science, environment engineering courses.

Candidates in electrical and electronics, communication engineering, telecommunication engineering, telecommunication, instrumentation technology, commercial practice, printing technology, library science and the other courses may attend on August 9. The interviews are being held by the Directorate of Technical Education with Government SJ Polytechnic, and Director, Board of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai.

Candidates from Karnataka who have passed their courses on or after August 2005 are eligible.

During 12-month training period, BE graduates get a stipend of Rs. 2,600 and diploma holders Rs. 1,850.
