Coimbatore: Petson Mathews struck a brilliant unbeaten 118 (66b, 13x4, 3x6) as Cosmo Village Sports Academy scored a 161-run win over ABT Cricket Club in the CDCA Golden Jubilee T20 cricket tournament for the Aircel Trophy here on Monday. The scores: Second round: Cosmo Village SA 230 for three in 20 overs (Petson Mathews 118 not out, Vijayakumar 55) bt ABT CC 69 for nine in 20 overs; Janaranjani SC 112 for six in 20 overs lost to Rainbow Wizards CC 113 for three in 15.3 overs (Janakiraman 61 not out); Coimbatore Raiders CA 154 for seven in 20 overs (H.S. Kumaresh 60) bt Senthil Srinivasan 131 for nine in 20 overs; Cosmo Village ‘B’ 131 for seven in 20 overs (A. Vijayakumar 44) lost to SIM CC 133 for seven in 19.4 overs (S. Ashok Kumar 58, Maria Soosai 55). Vijays enter main draw At Erode, Vijay Nichani of Champions Billiards Academy (Coimbatore) and Vijay Kumar of Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association (Chennai) scored straight frame wins and entered the main draw of the fifth Chinthamani Memorial Open snooker tournament at the S.S. Sports Academy on Monday. Nichani got the better of D. Shashikanth of Chennai 88-59, 60-32, 49-21 and joined the fourth quarter in the main draw frame, while Kumar defeated Saravanan of SSA (Erode) 53-41, 57-22, 68-19 for a place second quarter.
