VHP plans protest

NEW DELHI: Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s international general secretary Praveen Togadia on Monday condemned the government response to the agitation on the Amarnath land transfer issue.

He demanded that the land and the responsibility for conducting the Amarnath yatra be restored to Amarnath Shrine Board immediately.

He said the VHP would take out a procession to the residences of all members of Parliament in different parts of the country on August 5, 6 and 7, followed by a march to the residence of the Prime Minister and Governors on August 10, and a nation-wide ‘chakka jam’ on August 13.
