Sonia seeks BJP’s cooperation
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi spoke to Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh on Sunday seeking his party’s cooperation in controlling the ongoing agitation in Jammu.
Ms. Gandhi is understood to have explained to Mr. Singh that the situation in Jammu was ‘delicate’ and the Congress was looking forward to the BJP for resolving the issue peacefully.
Sources in the BJP said that Mr. Singh is reported to have told Ms. Gandhi that the people of Jammu felt hurt over the fact that they had not been treated fairly in the entire issue.
