VISAKHAPATNAM: Sri Vijayeshwari Devi, known as ‘Karunamayi Amma,’ was felicitated and a ‘Swarnakankanam’ (golden bracelet) presented to her in the presence of thousands of devotees at Swarnabharathi Indoor Stadium here on Sunday. Sri Vijayeshwari Devi was accorded a colourful welcome and brought into the auditorium accompanied by ‘diya.’ At a gathering organised by Sri Mathrudevi Viswashanthi Ashram Trust, Gopinamballa Seshacharyulu, head priest of Sri Vaibhava Venkateswara Swamy temple at Pattabhitota, offered the bracelet. Former MP M.V.V.S.Murthy, former MP Bhattam Srirama Murthy, Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao, CMR Charitable Trust Chairman Mavuri Venkataramana and industrialist Mattapalli Chalamayya participated. Sri Vijayeshwari Devi blessed the gathering with her discourse.
