Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Senior IPS officers N.S. Megharikh, K.V. Gagandeep and B.N.S. Reddy were transferred on Saturday
According to a communiqué from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Mr. Megharikh, Inspector-General of Police, North-Eastern Range, Gulbarga, has been posted as Inspector-General of Police, Vigilance, in the Water Resources Department. The incumbent, Mr. Gagandeep has been posted as Inspector-General of Police, North Eastern Range, Gulbarga.
Mr. Reddy, who had earlier been posted as Superintendent of Police, Kodagu, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta.
The Lokayukta, who is normally consulted before the appointment of senior officials in its police wing, was not informed about it. Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde said that he was yet to be intimated about the appointment of Mr. Reddy. “We generally get a list of officers, and a panel will scrutinise their past performance before recommending a name. This time, we have not received the list from the Government,” he added.
