Kuselan film banners damaged

Coimbatore: Banners of Rajinikanth’s film Kuselan were damaged by a group of people in front of a theatre in the R.S. Puram area on Thursday night.

The police said the act was in protest against Rajinikanth expressing regret to Kannadiga fans for his remarks at a fast organised in Chennai over the Hogenakkal drinking water supply scheme.

The police have registered a case against a group of youth.

The police said security had been stepped up in front of theatres where the movie is being screened. — Staff Reporter
