Special Correspondent
CUDDALORE: The Muslim Urimai Padhukappu Iyakkam has urged the authorities to identify those who were behind the serial blasts at Bangalore and Ahemadabad and take stringent action against them.
The Iyakkam, in a meeting held at Nellikuppam recently, adopted a resolution. State general secretary I. Ismail and district president Mustafa Kamal participated.
The Iyakkam urged the authorities to release those who were arrested in connection with a clash that occurred recently at the Lalpet dargah and also the residents of Kottakuppam who were arrested for squatting on the road protesting against erratic power supply.
