Police to auction seized vehicles

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Rural Police are planning to auction the vehicles seized in prohibition related offences on August 5.

A release from the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore Rural District, G. Karthikeyan, said that 13 trucks, two cars and 20 two-wheelers will be auctioned on August 5 at the Prohibition Enforcement Wing office on Avanashi – Seyur Road, near Chitralaya Theatre, in the presence of the Additional Superintendent of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing. Those wanting to take part in the auction are permitted to inspect the vehicles prior to auction. Vehicles obtained in auction could be taken possession immediately on payment of the full amount, the release said.
