Health and Wealth Expo from today

COIMBATORE: A three-day “Health and Wealth Expo 2008”, organised by Colour Code Advertising Events and Trade Fairs (Coimbatore) Private Limited, begins on Friday at the Suguna Kalyana Mandapam.

“The expo includes aspects to help people manage their health and wealth. Both will be available to them under a single roof,” N. Ravi Kumar, Managing Director of the company, told a press conference here on Thursday.

Multi-speciality hospitals, healthcare centres, manufacturers of fitness products, water purifiers, herbal products, will share space.

Options from the fields of Allopathy, Siddha, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, etc. will be available for those with ailments.

Experts are available for consultations.

On the wealth side, there are insurance and mutual fund companies, banks and real estate companies. Awareness camps for children and diabetics will be held on the premises.

“The expo is planned so that you do not spend what you earn and save in a lifetime on regaining the health you have lost while earning,” said J.S. Bhuvaneswaran, professor and Head of the Department, Cardiology, PSG Hospitals.

Cultural programmes, cookery contests, healthy baby contests and other competitions will be held in the evenings.

The expo is sponsored by Consortium Clinical Research Private Limited and co-sponsored by PSG Hospitals.

It will be inaugurated by director of the Consortium Ananda Padmanabhan, in the presence of Dr. Bhuvaneswaran.
