City youth on ‘Voice of India’
Staff Reporter
Ryan Dias
HYDERABAD: He lives and breathes music. For 24-year-old Ryan Dias, a professional Latin dancer, music is a way of life. A dancer, choreographer and singer, this multi-talented Hyderabadi currently features in the Top 18 in the ‘Star Voice of India’ competition aired on Star TV.
A true blue Hyderabadi, Ryan moved to Australia to pursue his graduation in Media arts and Mass communication. He emerged on the reality show scene in 2006 and was adjudged a runner-up for Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Middle East Muqabala’.
In English rock opera
Ryan also played the lead role in an English rock opera titled ‘Shankuntala’ in Dubai last year apart from being in the Top 30 for the ‘Star Voice of India’ competition. Undeterred and unbeaten, he re-emerged like a phoenix, this time with additional skills.
Having trained for a year in Hindustani music at the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Musical Academy in Mumbai, Ryan is confident of winning the competition and hopes to garner support from his fellow Hyderabadis. Ryan can be seen performing on the show every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.
