Congress leaders criticise Raghavulu on his remarks
|
Flay his decision to forge alliance with TDP
|
HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party has demanded that Communist Party of India (Marxist) secretary B.V. Raghavulu should spell out the reasons for his outright opposition to the Congress government in the State.
Responding to a letter written by Mr. Raghavulu to the Chief Minister, Government Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Whips – D. Sridhar Babu and S. Udayabhanu -- in an open letter on Wednesday said Mr. Raghavulu’s assertion that the CPI (M) functioned based on party policies rather than implementing the personal agenda exposed his ‘opportunism’.
‘Helping TDP’
They accused Mr. Raghavulu of pursuing anti-Rajasekhara Reddy agenda only to help the TDP.
They said his decision to forge an alliance with the TDP was purely to oppose Dr. Reddy.
They wanted Mr. Raghavulu to spell out how the Congress government’s programmes were different from the CPI (M) policies.
The CLP members questioned how the CPI (M) leader could fault the government when it had been pursuing pro-people agenda since it came to power in 2004.
They expressed surprise as to why the Left governments failed to implement programmes in their respective States that were successful in Andhra Pradesh.
