Congress to train party activists

HYDERABAD: Kick-starting preparations for the next elections, the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to train its cadre from booth level to campaign about the schemes launched by the Government.

The party will select “highly charged, dedicated and ambitious” cadre under the 100-day training programme named as “Gandhi March”.

The training camps will formally commence on August 16 with participation of five selected activists from each district and subsequently this would be taken to constituency, mandal and village levels.

AICC general secretary Veerappa Moily held discussions with Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and APCC president D. Srinivas about the finer details of the programme here on Tuesday.
