Digital Bus Time Punching System is being introduced to control rash driving and accidents by private buses in the city. The seven punching cabins are being installed in different parts of the city during the fist phase. The punching cabins are at Ravipuram, Menaka Junction, A.R. Camp, Ernakulam, Kaloor private bus-stand, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kaloor, Kalamassery Apollo Tyres Junction and Thripunithura private bus-stand. Manoj Abraham, City Police Commissioner, his Deputy T. Vikram and K. Babu and K. V. Thomas, MLAs, were among those who participated in the function.
