ACA President’s XI in trouble

VIJAYAWADA: ACA Secretary’s XI restricted ACA President’s XI to 155 for nine in 73 overs in the three-day selection match for ACA u-19 team at IGMC Stadium here on Friday. Earlier, ACA secretary XI was all out for 243 in 109.1 overs.

The scores: ACA Secretary’s XI 243 in 109.1 overs (G. Chiranjeevi 76, S. Md. Khan 45, P. Narendra Reddy four for 33, Rishi Chowdary three for 39) vs. ACA President’s XI 155 for nine in 73 overs (G. Brahmananda Reddy 44, S. Md. Khan three for 30).

Vishnu sparkles

Vishnupreetam Reddy’s unbeaten 62 helped Kadapa register 152 in 58.4 overs against Kurnool in the two-day ACA South Zone u-22 inter-district tournament at Anantapur.

The scores: Kadapa 152 in 58.4 overs (Vishnupreetam Reddy 62 n.o., Satya Sai Santosh three for 41) vs. Kurnool 78 for four in 34 overs (Vikram Surya Teja 40 n.o.).

Nellore 194 in 63.4 overs (Praveen five for 65) vs. Chittoor 92 for three in 28 overs (Tarun Jain 44).

ACA President’s XI posts 282

ACA President’s made 282 in 89 overs against ACA Secretary’s XI at the end of the second day’s play in the three-day ACA Central Zone u-22 selection match at Guntur on Friday. At stumps, ACA secretary’s XI was 40 for one in 10 overs.

The scores: ACA President’s XI 282 in 89 overs (Vikas Babu 68, M. Dinesh Kumar three for 39, K. Varun three for 33, T. Koteswara Rao three for 66) vs. ACA Secretary’s XI 40 for one in 90 overs.

Easy for Jolly Rovers

Jolly Rovers (Nuzvid) scored a seven-wicket victory over Dynamic Diamonds (Vijayawada) in the Twenty20 cricket tournament at Andhra Loyola College Grounds here on Friday.

The scores: Dynamic Diamonds (Vijayawada) 57 in 14 overs lost to Jolly Rovers (Nuzvid) 58 for three in 12 overs.
