ASUS opens service centre in Delhi

Special Correspondent

Plans to invest Rs. 20 crore in the next two years

NEW DELHI: ASUS Technology Pvt. Ltd., a part of the Taiwan-based ASUSTeK Computer, on Friday announced the opening of its first exclusive service centre here. The company, that mainly provides notebooks and smartphones in India, would invest Rs. 20 crore in the next two years as part of its service initiatives to provide world-class service to its customers.

Addressing a press conference here, ASUS General Manager (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa) Benson Lin said: “We plan to set up an extensive service network. This year, ASUS plans to set up six more such exclusive centres — two each in Mumbai and Bangalore and one each in Kolkata and Chennai — to provide quality service to our customers. The second Royal Club is expected to be opened in Bangalore by the end of August,” said Mr. Lin.

Informing that the company had already established a network of 187 ASUS service partners across the country to provide service for their products, Mr. Lin said the company would be offering basic training sessions about notebook hardware from ASUS service engineers to customers who register themselves at any of the ASUS Royal Clubs. In addition, customers who register themselves at the Royal Club within one month of its opening also get an extended three months warranty on their ASUS products.

“The company also provides two years global warranty on all its notebooks and onsite service for its high-end notebook, the ASUS Lamborghini VX3. At these exclusive service centres, ASUS will provide free diagnosis for all brands’ laptops. This along with its toll free number, 1-800-2090-365, will also help provide efficient service to our customers,” he added.
