Expedite construction of maternity hospital: YSR

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has asked the Health Department officials to expedite construction of new buildings at PTO land at Petlaburj for shifting the Government Maternity Hospital, Nayapul.

The hospital would be equipped with modern infrastructure and would operate from more spacious premises. The officials informed the Chief Minister that the construction of Block – A for inpatients has been completed. Reviewing the progress of works with Health and Police Transport Organisation officials on Thursday, Dr. Reddy wanted the PTO officials to shift some of their units to their new premises at Nagole with immediate effect. Dr. Reddy assured that the necessary orders would be issued immediately and required funds would be released to PTO for expediting the works.
