Justice B.S.A. Swamy passes away

Hyderabad: Justice B.S.A. Swamy, former judge of A.P. High Court died of a massive heart attack in the Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences here on Thursday.

Justice Swamy was ailing for quite sometime and had undergone a heart bypass surgery earlier. He was 66 years old.

Hailing from Mukteswaram, Ainavalli Mandal of East Godavari, Justice Swamy did his apprenticeship under Alladi Kuppu Swamy, Former Chief Justice, High Court. He started independent practice from 1974 in the high court and worked in all branches of law ranging from Constitutional, Civil, Labour, Company Matters and Criminal. Justice Swamy was sworn in as Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on May 5, 1995 and retired on July 11, 2004.

Justice Swamy was also connected with social and cultural organisations and was involved in the uplift of weaker sections.
