VISAKAHAPATNAM: The Amnesty International has appealed to the Chief Minister of Orissa to order an impartial inquiry into the allegation of torture in police custody of activists of four activists of Keonjhar Integrated Rural Development and Training Institute (KIRDTI) have reportedly fled from the Keonjhar district fearing torture by the police while some of their colleagues had been reportedly subjected to torture by the police, the Amnesty International alleged. The Amnesty International appealed to Chief Minister of Orissa and the Union Home Minster to inquire into the harassment of KIRDTI activists, initiate action against those responsible for filing criminal cases against the activists.
