TIRUNELVELI: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has introduced a new 12-year validity prepaid mobile connection plan, ‘Kurinji’. According to General Manager, BSNL, Tirunelveli Telecom District, V. Raju, cost of the starter pack of this plan will be Rs. 249, inclusive of service tax of Rs.30 as free talk value. Incoming calls will be absolutely free for 12 years. All calls made to any number within Tamil Nadu will be charged at the rate of 99 paise per minute and the calls to any network beyond Tamil Nadu will be charged at Rs.1.50 per minute. For keeping the connection alive, customers have to recharge with at least a Top-Up Card of Rs. 100 denomination once in every six months. Top-Up CardCustomer can use Top-Up Card of any available denomination according to their requirement and can increase the talk value. ‘Friend and Family’ scheme can also be availed at 50 paise per minute within Tamil Nadu and at one rupee per minute beyond Tamil Nadu. Booster cards will be applicable to ‘Kurinji Plan’ also. Connections under ‘Kurinji Plan’ will be provided only up to October 18, 2008. The SIM cards can be obtained at all Customer Service Centres / authroised franchisees and agents. For more details customers can contact 12728, Mr. Raju said.
