TUMKUR: The Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) wing of the Tumkur District Congress Committee has criticised Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on two of his budget proposals: retirement age of government officials and the opening of new liquor shops and bars and restaurants. The wing president, R. Ramakrishna, told presspersons on Tuesday that the SC and ST category people would be affected by the proposals. — Staff Correspondent
