NIZAMABAD: The Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture sanctioned artiste pension to Chindula Neelamma, an artiste of Chindu Yakshaganam under the scheme of financial assistance to persons distinguished in letters, arts and such other works of life and who are under indigent circumstances. In a letter addressed to Member of Parliament Madhu Yaskhi, the Union Tourism Minister Ambika Soni said the expert committee recommended grant of artiste pension to Ms. Neelamma who belongs to Degoam village and staged hundreds of stage shows across the country, according to a press release by the MP Office here on Wednesday.
