College student feared drowned

CHENNAI: An engineering college student who went into the sea for swimming is feared drowned. He is reportedly missing since Sunday night.

Police said V. Karthik (19) of Alwarpet, studying second year in a private engineering college, had gone to Besant Nagar to watch beach volleyball. Later, he went for swimming along with his friends. After some time, his friends noticed that he was missing.

The Besant Nagar police are investigating.
