Respect your teachers and parents, students told

CHENNAI: Violin maestro T.N. Krishnan on Saturday exhorted students to respect their teachers and parents. Speaking at a function organised by Sri Vidyatheertha Foundation, Prof. Krishnan urged students to work hard and be attentive in class.
He presented the Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamigal Rolling Shield for the junior level to students of Modern Senior Secondary School.
This is the second consecutive year that the institution has won the shield for having the maximum number of prize winners in the essay writing contest.
The second best team award went to the Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar. Chairman and Managing Director of Metrohm India, K.K. Ramasubban, the guest of honour, spoke.
Managing Trustee of the Foundation R. Krishnan and trustees L. Narayanan and S. Murali were present. The Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamigal Rolling cup for senior level students was also won by the Modern Senior Secondary School.
The second best team award went to the Sri Ahobila Mutt Oriental Higher Secondary School.
