Ecstatic: Vikram Hazra in full flow at a programme organised in the city on Friday. — VISAKHAPATNAM: He made the crowd shed tears with his ‘Hara Hara Om and Shiva Om’ chant and made them dance in ecstasy with the bhajan ‘Govinda Hara Hara – Gopala Hara Hara’. Fitting tributeVikram Hazra, international trainer, musician and singer, from the Art of Living Foundation, sent the crowd into raptures, young and old alike, at the Andhra University Convocation Hall, here on Friday with his bhajans. Paying a fitting tribute to his guru, Sri Sri Ravishankar, he enlivened the Vizagites with his soulful compositions on the Guru Poornima Day. The concert, Sumeru Sandhya, was organised by the Art of Living, Vizag. The messageA graduate in physics, Hazra is a journalist, animator, singer and a musician, who has toured over 35 countries to deliver the message of love and peace through music. His compositions have got a touch of fusion, but he proved that music transcends all boundaries and types, if delivered in the right way. The jam-packed Convocation Hall was gripped by devotional fervour, as the concert progressed. For two hours the hall reverberated with claps and chants. The singer also showed his prowess with the guitar. Pitching a soulful high on the vocal, he exhibited total control over the strings at the same time. The evening started with Gura Puja by the members of AOL–Vizag and an introduction by Perala Balakrishna. Vikram was accompanied by Ajay on the tabla and the drums. Commissioner of Income Tax S.S. Mishra inaugurated the concert.
