Spotted deer falls into well, dies

METTUR: A spotted deer, which fell into a well, died in Kannamoochi village in Kolathur block on Friday morning.

Dogs chase

The police said the deer, which strayed into human habitations in search of water, fell into the well, when a pack of dogs chased it.

People in the area tried to rescue the animal. But it died. The carcass of the animal was handed over to the forest officials. A case was registered.
