M-commerce solutions launched

HYDERABAD: Mobile service provider Tata Indicom on Thursday announced the launch of m-commerce solutions, using which customers could book air, train and movie tickets from their mobile.

S. Ramakrishna, COO-AP Circle, Tata Teleservices Limited, said customers needed to download the application on their mobile to get started.

The convenience of sitting at home or office and getting tickets apart, the secured payment gateway with a secured socket layer (SSL) would prevent any fraudulent activity, he said.

After viewing fares, availability and schedules for airlines and trains and book tickets using a credit card. Customers will then get instantaneous confirmation PNR, after which the e-ticket would be mailed to the customer’s email address within 24 hours.

As of now, up to 10 movie tickets in Adlabs could be booked using the mobile.

For rail tickets, customers could log on to Tata Zone and follow simple steps.

For air travel, customers could use the BREW Browser to download the application and book domestic air tickets.

The tariff applicable is Rs. 10 for 3 days, Rs. 15 for 7 days and Rs. 30 for a month. For movie tickets the tariff is Rs. 5 per transaction or a subscription of Rs. 30 per month.
