BANGALORE: Kanaka (Kolar) pipped bt SAI (Dharwad) 84-83 in extra-time in the quarter finals of the ‘B’ division State basketball league at the Sree Kanteerava stadium outdoor courts here on Thursday. Guruprasad and Dhiraj Shetty tallied 37 points and 35 points for Kanaka and SAI respectively. The teams were tied 74-all in full time. Also advancing into the last four were Ambedkar BC, CMP and Bharath Sports Union with comfortable wins over Koramangala SC, IBBC and K.S. Hedge (Mangalore) respectively. The results: Boys (Quarterfinals): Kanaka (Kolar) 84 (Guruprasad 37, Naveen 16, Ashoka 10) bt SAI Dharwad 83 (Dhiraj Shetty 35, Rajesh 25).
