Documentaries with Olympic themes on BBC

CHENNAI: BBC World Service will broadcast a series of documentaries in the run-up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

‘Beijing Calling’, which starts on July 18, will look at the lives of six Olympic hopefuls from around the world. ‘Secrets in the Blood’, which will be broadcast from July 28, investigates the world of doping. On August 1, ‘Heart and Soul’ will feature Moroccan Nawal El Moutawakel, the first Arab woman to win an Olympic medal.
