Meeting of knitting units

TIRUPUR: The Knit Cloth Manufacturers’ Association will organise a meeting here on Monday to decide on a hike in knitting charges.

A release from the association said the cost of all materials needed for knitting such as needles, oil and labour had gone up. Further, the knitting units in Tirupur were hit by nearly eight hours of power cut. The units were using generator sets and this resulted in loss to the units.
