Jeeps distributed to engineers

CHENNAI: A total of 21 jeeps were distributed to engineers of the Town Panchayat Department at a function here on Wednesday. Minister for Local Administration M.K. Stalin handed over the keys. An official release stated that the vehicles were meant for 20 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) and an Executive Engineer of the Town Panchayat Department. The engineering wing of the Department had been further strengthened with the distribution of vehicles to all the AEEs. The total cost of the vehicles was Rs.1.05 crore. — Special Correspondent
