Shot dead by friend

TIRUPATTUR: A man was shot dead by one of his friends at Malai Tirupattur near Pudur Nadu in Jawadhu Hills on Wednesday.

According to the police, Kuppuswamy (34) and Tirupathy had gone for hunting at Jawadhu Hills. Kuppuswamy owned a country-made gun, without a licence. During the expedition, a bullet fired by Tirupathy accidentally hit Kuppuswamy in his chest, killing him on the spot.

Tirupathy had hid the body in his house.

Based on a complaint filed by Kuppuswamy’s wife Alamelu, the police conducted an investigation and recovered the body.

The police are on the lookout for Tirupathy.
