Draft photo electoral rolls published

Four Assembly constituencies in Karur district

KARUR: The draft photo electoral rolls for the Karur, Aravakurichi, Kulithalai and Krishnarayapuram Assembly constituencies in the district, after delimitation, were published here on Wednesday.

In the Aravakurichi Assembly Constituency there were 69,566 male voters and 72,372 female voters giving a total of 1,41,938 voters.

There would be 190 polling stations in the constituency.

Before delimitation of constituencies, there were 1,27,572 voters in the constituency.

In Karur Assembly constituency the electorate was 1,44,281 comprising 71,393 male voters and 72,888 female voters.

There would be 173 polling stations in the Karur Assembly constituency following the delimitation exercise.

Before delimitation, Karur Assembly constituency had an electorate of 1,96,152 including 99,178 female voters.

Interestingly, the delimitation exercise had pruned the electorate here.

In the Kulithalai Assembly Constituency there would be 78,517 male voters and 78,392 female electors to constitute an electorate of 1,56, 909.

There would be 189 polling stations in the constituency.

Before delimitation, the constituency had 190 polling stations for an electorate of 1,60,656.

As regards the Krishnarayapuram Assembly constituency, there would be 176 polling stations for an electorate of 1,45,947 comprising 73,664 male and 72,283 female voters.

Prior to delimitation, the constituency had 183 polling stations for 1,47,614 voters.

The draft photo electoral rolls list, published on Wednesday, would be on display at the respective taluk offices in the constituencies for public viewing.

Submissions on corrections including addition, deletion and other corrections would be accepted between July16 and 31.

Door-to-door verification

Door-to-door verification would then be taken up and a date would be announced for the publication of the final rolls.

While the Karur Revenue Divisional Officer Jayaraman released the list of voters for the Karur and Aravakurichi Assembly constituencies in Karur, the Kulithalai RDO T. Anbumani released the list of voters for the Kulithalai and Krishnarayapuram constituencies in Kulithalai.
