Fatal fall for youth

CHENNAI: A polytechnic student, Baskaran (18), died when he fell off a train near Annanur here on Monday evening.

Sources in the Government Railway Police said the boy was travelling on the footboard and hit a post when he lost his balance and fell off the train and got crushed under it.

The body was rushed to the Government General Hospital around 7.10 p.m.

He died in the hospital.
