Good response to talent search test

CHENNAI: The City-wide Talent Search Test (CTST), conducted by AIMS Education and The Hindu Education Plus, was received enthusiastically by students of Standard VIII to XII in 160 schools, with 91,000 candidates participating. This is the fourth edition of the programme.

The test was conducted from June 23 to July 4. The second phase of the programme, ‘Propel – The Workshop,’ will be held on July 21 at Kamarajar Arangam, Teynampet. The toppers in the CTST in various schools and classes will be the main participants in the workshop.

The forenoon session (9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) is open to toppers from Standard VIII to X and the afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to toppers from Standard XI and XII. The workshop will teach science concepts and problem solving techniques . There will also be a session for the parents from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

Educational psychologists and soft skill specialists will talk to participants on developing academic skills and soft skills, de-stressing and psychological motivation. Audio visual presentations and tips for better performance in examinations will be given. Parents will be guided on how to bring out the best in their children and help them during the stressful period of examinations.

The class toppers in the CTST will be awarded cash prizes. All toppers will be awarded certificates. Toppers at the city-level will receive shields for their schools and cash prizes.
