India triumphs

New Delhi: The Indian football team reserved its best for the final as it thumped Gouveia XI 4-0 to end its 12-day training-cum-exposure Portugal tour on a high note here.

Sunil Chettri scored a brace while Abhishek Yadav and Tarif Ahmed found the target once each at Estadio Caldas on Saturday.

India thus lifted the first Gouveia Cup, introduced on the suggestion of city mayor Alvaro Amaro, with an all-win record.
