Clean chit: Rajesh Talwar, who was released on bail after the CBI said there was no evidence against him in the Aarushi murder case, addresses the media outside a relative’s house in Noida on Saturday. With him are his wife, Nupur, and other relatives. NEW DELHI: After spending 50 days in the Dasna jail in Ghaziabad, Rajesh Talwar reunited with his family on Saturday, a day after he was granted bail in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case. The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday said it had not come across any evidence proving the complicity of Dr. Talwar in the murder of his teenage daughter and domestic help in his Noida house in May. Betraying signs of fatigue, Dr. Talwar walked out of the jail after his relatives completed the formalities of furnishing a personal bond for Rs. 5 lakh and two sureties for a like sum as stipulated by a special Ghaziabad. “Emotional moment”It was an emotional moment for Dr. Talwar when he hugged his wife Nupur and sister-in-law Vandana, who were waiting outside the prison gate. His brother Dinesh Talwar escorted him to a waiting car, protecting him from media glare. Appealing to journalists to leave him alone, Dr. Talwar said: “Finally the truth is out. I will talk to you later.” When they persisted, Mr. Dinesh Talwar intervened: “Rajesh needs support …we will share his grief. We thank everyone who stood by us.” Dr. Talwar reached his mother-in-law’s house in Sector 25 of Jalvayu Vihar after visiting a nearby Sai Baba temple around noon. Emerging out of his car, the dentist said he wanted to take rest for some time. Asked whether the family was contemplating any action against the Noida police, who arrested him on May 23 on the charge of the double murder, Dr. Talwar said nothing was going on in his mind. “This entire episode is the biggest grief of my life. Allow me to share the grief with my family because for the last 50 days we have not been together.” His wife requested everyone to pray with them for the soul of Aarushi.
