BIDAR: Residents of the Naubad area in the city staged a “rasta roko” at Basaveshwara Circle on Friday, demanding basic amenities to the locality. The protest was led by councillor Dilip Kumar. The residents staged the protest for about two hours. They sought proper approach roads to the locality, adequate supply of drinking water, and electricity and drainage facilities, among others. Later, Assistant Commissioner Zaheera Nassim visited the spot and promised that their problems would be looked into. — Staff Correspondent
