In disarray: Thieves decamped with cameras from a shop in Panjagutta on Thursday.
HYDERABAD: Thieves took away sophisticated cameras and high-end mobile phones, all worth Rs. 14.5 lakh, from a shop near NFCL rotary at Punjagutta on Wednesday night.
The offenders sneaked inside the Vivi digital shop by lifting the side shutter and collected 60 cameras and 20 mobile phones displayed in the shelves. They exited through the same route, the Punjagutta ACP Subbarami Reddy told reporters after visiting the shop. The shop owner Riyaz learnt about the burglary when he came to the shop on Thursday morning. Police suspect that persons familiar with the building’s plan could be behind the burglary.
The building accommodating the shop had no watchman. No security alarms or hidden cameras were installed in the shop.
