Man gets life term for killing wife

NEW DELHI: A court here has sentenced a man to rigorous life imprisonment after convicting him of the murder of his wife five years ago.

Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Kumar sentenced Shakeel, a resident of Sangam Vihar, to life imprisonment for killing Bilkis. The court also slapped a fine of Rs.1,000 on him.

According to the prosecution, Shakeel was arrested in his native village in Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, where he was hiding after killing his wife.
