New DRM for Chennai takes charge

CHENNAI: Subodh Kumar Kulshrestha took charge as the new Divisional Railway Manager of the Chennai Division of Southern Railway on Monday.

Belonging to the 1979 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers, Mr. S. K. Kulshrestha is a graduate in Civil Engineering. He had worked in various capacities in the Central, Western and North East Frontier Railways and attended a course in ‘Modern Track Maintenance’ at Stockholm.

Prior to this present post, he served as Chief Engineer/General of the Central Railway, Mumbai.

Talking to The Hindu, Mr.Kulshrestha said safety and passenger comforts would be his first priorities. The demands of passengers were high and the Division would provide its best. Commuters could bring to the notice of divisional authorities their grievances through available forums which would be properly examined and redressed, he added.
