Two volumes of ancient inscriptions launched

CHENNAI: Sri Dayananda Saraswathi recently launched two volumes of Uttankita Vidya Aranya Sanskrit Epigraphs brought out by the Uttankita Vidya Aranya Trust. The two volumes covered the inscriptions relating to ancient India and the neighbouring foreign countries in the period 600-800 A.D.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Dayananda Saraswathi emphasised the need for educational institutions, libraries and scholars to purchase the volumes and spread knowledge on Indian history and culture.

The first set of the two volumes were presented to V. Kutumba Sastri, former Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi, the Trust Chairman P.Sabanayagam said in a press release.
