MADURAI: The State government is working out a collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to develop industry-related skills among students at the school level, especially in Plus-Two. It has set aside Rs.200 crore for strengthening the secondary education network, Minister for School Education Thangam Thennarasu told The Hindu here on Tuesday. The Minister said the CII had evinced interest in joint action when a proposal to focus on schools and improve job-related skills among students was discussed. A preliminary meeting had been held to discuss the implementation for the benefit of government school students. The modalities would be worked out soon.
